About Maria Ruelaz
My name is Maria Ruelaz, and I’m a dedicated softball player from Silver City, New Mexico. I graduate in 2025 from Silver High School, where I primarily play shortstop, but I’m skilled in other positions too. I have a successful track record, including being the starting left fielder for varsity in 8th grade and winning the Fighting Heart Award. In my freshman and sophomore years, I received team MVP, First Team All-District, and helped my team win the NM Class 4A state championship. Academically, I hold a 4.1 GPA, take Honors and AP courses, and actively engage in community service. Softball is my passion, and I’m determined to excel at the next level. I hope to secure a college softball scholarship to continue my journey and grow both as a player and a person.
